Greetings, I am about to purchase UVG Standard Edition Single Activation License, but I wanted to try UVG out first. So I downloaded the .zip file, and installed my module. I was messing around with the UVG Configuration, and almost all file extensions were grayed out. Is this because I am using the trial version, or will it not let me add all of the common file extensions? I have the extensions added in my file manager, so that isn't the issue. Also, once I purchase a copy of the module, how can I go back through my configuration to check all of the appropriate file extensions? Do I have to uninstall the sub-module and redo it? Thanks for the help! --Jeff

Actually I just noticed that the reason I don't have any files allowed is because I don't have the binary pack installed... is that something you get with the complete copy?

My ASP.NET Trut Level is Unrestricted, so it isn't an issue there... but if I do buy the complete version, and say I do need the binaries pack, how do I get that installed?

And NOW I just noticed that the binary pack is available as a download... haha, I am figuring this out slowly... now I just need to figure out how to upload the binary pack to my DNN site...

HA and now I found the readme in the binary pack... however, I have no idea where to place this pack, but I am a little bit closer to figuring all of this out. (Can you tell I am new to DNN?)

OK, NOW I am officially stuck... I got the binary pack installed, but my Configuration Wizard is giving me this error: Permission check failed, you are not able to upload any non-flv videos now. Generally this means Network_Service account doesn't have Execute permission on /DekstopModules/UltraVideoGallery/Binaries folder. For further information please refer to "Installation guide" chapter in the User Guide. And I do have Execute Permission... so I am not sure what to do now.

By the way... I know this question is going to come up because I have been researching this problem... yes I do have PermissionCheck.resource in my Binaries folder...

So I have made very many small victories today... since getting the licensed version of UVG, I had to uninstall the trial, and install the licensed version, and now my binary pack was accepted, and I can support many different extensions! Now, I can't get the video to play out the main video player... it will only play in the thumbnail in the video_list column...

so your videos doesn't play, right? in most case this is a "mime type" issue, when play flv videos your server need suppor the "flv" mime type(or you can choose "flv mime type is not supported" in UVG Configuration Wizrad), when play h264 videos your server need support "mp4" mime type. you can add it in your IIS or the control panel of your hosting plan. after adding it please restart your iis. thanks.
