I have a DNN 5 site that is set-up with PowerDNN. We are using UVG 3 on the site and keep receiving the following error for the Permission Check:

"Permission check failed, you are not able to upload any non-flv videos now.

Generally this means Network_Service account doesn't have Execute permission on /DekstopModules/UltraVideoGallery/Binaries folder.

For further information please refer to "Installation guide" chapter in the User Guide."

We have contacted our hosting provider and they have stated that all of the settings/permissions are set to allow the module the access it needs. They recommended that I contact you to see if you have any further suggestions.

We are successfully using UVG on several other sites that are hosted with PowerDNN.

Do you have any further suggestions to get this functioning. I know we can use the UVG Video Converter locally, but we would really like to be able to manage all video needs via the website.

Thanks in advance.

what's your domain?

can you find PermissionCheck.resource in /desktopmodules/ultravideogallery/binaries folder?

if not, please copy FirstRun.flv or FirstRun.swf from UVG folder to this folder and rename it.

Thanks for your response. I added the "PermissionCheck.resource into the Binaries folder and everything is working properly now.

Hi,

I have the same issue, but I try what you suggest and it didn´t work.
I have another UVG instalation in the same domain but in different database. There it works perfectly.

I copied the PermissionCheck.resource from this binaries folder (where UVG works ok), into the binarie folder (the new installation) and still have the issue

Permission check failed, you are not able to upload any non-flv videos now. Generally this means Network_Service account doesn't have Execute permission on /DekstopModules/UltraVideoGallery/Binaries folder.
For further information please refer to "Installation guide" chapter in the User Guide.

could you help me pls. :)

there should be a text file named uvg.txt in your site root, but I can't acces it.

can you verify to see if it exists?
