Hi

I am currently reviewing the UVG component set and wonder
if it is possible to customize the VideoRating?

I would very much like to let my site visitors rate the
videos but I do not want the "share video", "flag as inappropriate",
and "post to" section.

Is there a way to remove these?

Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing...unfortunately, it seems the only method would be to get into the module code itself, which isn't an option for me since we were hoping to roll this out to many sites and can't afford to deal with the maintenance after each release. And, as a side note, there are design elements embedded in the code which limits the customization for each site (ie. inline styles, images). I would love to see some kind of template approach for most of the elements of this module.

Derek is right, you need to manually make some changes to VideoRating.ascx, then you need to copy your modified version to UVG folder everytime you install an upgrade.

We offered a lot of options in UVG, but it's impossible to offer an option for every element, for example, "hide share video button", "hide flag button", or something like "place flag button before share button", there will be hundreds or even thousands setting fileds.

so in some case you need to manually change the ascx source, the good news is it's not so complicated, when you downoad an UVG upgrade, just drag your modified version to the PA. then install your custom PA is ok.
