Hi, sorry about posting this question, but your search feature doesn't work, so I don't know if this question has been asked for 100 times or so.
I am currently using both UMG and UVG with family videos and photo's, but now I am having more video's than the ones that show up in the list.
I found out how to change the settings so it's possible to browse, but if I try to click on the next page..... it jumps back to page 1.
What am I doing wrong? |

Another question is it possible to switch off the report button?
I mean the videos on our site are all uploaded by us, there is no need to report videos. |

is your uvg latest 2.4.3?
did you install some 3rd part modules like pagelaster, url master, or something? if so, try to disable them and try again.
you mean the flag button? you can edit VideoRating.ascx by your self to remove it.

Yes, I have v.2.4.3, only bought this module last saturday on snowcovered.
I really don't like the idea of turning off pageblaster, but I can turn it off just for testing purposes right now, I also have another module which might conflict it's called SEO Pack by dnnmasters, think it's about the same as url master, but I also kinda need that program for other purposes.
Yes, I meant the flag button, and ofcourse I can edit this file, but could you maybe consider to have an option in the module itself so it can be disabled while editing the module, because I might not know how to fix this after another release and maybe your search function may not work that day also :) |

The search feature works. well I don't exactly use search feature of UVG, exactly the tag search.
It's a browse problem, I got the videos sorted by most viewed and when I try to go to page 2 there it doesn't work.
just browse to this page http://www.famkuijpers.info/Default.aspx?tabid=78 and underneath try to press page 2 or press tab1 (Most recent) and try to move to page 2 there.... it automatically switches back to page 1 of the most viewed tab.
Sorry that I describe these names, but this portal is in dutch only and my father is the admin of that particular portal.
Just let me know if you need more info, or you can send me an e-mail, if you need admin access or host access just create a user name and I will grant you permissions for the time being. |

you can see this is a corrupted url.
did you install URL master or something? I remember there is a fix for this.

I have installed SEO Pack by dnnmasters.com think it's similar to URL master.
I don't know what exactly you mean with a corrupted url, it's the url that DNN gives, since I removed all the redirects from within SEO Pack to this page (otherwise the link would be like www.famkuijpers.info/video) is that what you mean?

I can see now what you mean with corrupted url, but am getting kinda close to a solution for that one.
Will ask later on at the dnnmasters.com site about how to handle this problem in their module, but they also have an update coming up very soon.
Anyway, thanks for your help so far, will let you know if I have got this one solved, if you or anybody else has some suggestions for me, it's greatly appreciated. |

| Will try to find out about this at a later time, I almost screwed up my site again, anyway.... thanks for your help so far..... will put the view for the moment to 200 videos, so the page will load so much slower, but maybe I need to wait for an update of the other modules like pageblaster and SEO Pack, and try to approach the problem from a different perspective. |

I'm still in trouble, but what do you want, host access?
If so, just create a username and I will give you admin or host access, whatever you need, just remember that this portal is in dutch only, so host and admin menus are different too. |

I got it working, the trick was to enable friendly url's.
But...... the thing is, as to my understanding, this friendly url's enhancement isn't as SEO friendly as it's supposed to be, but I will try this out and check if my other modules won't get into any trouble because of this. |

| what's your friendly url component? I guess the component have responsiblity to properly transfer the paging url to correct format. |

Yes, that's true, but I did switch off that component for the UVG pages on the site.
It's SEO Pack by dnnmasters.com.
The reason to my understanding that friendly url's don't work as they are supposed to is that the title bar still has all these tabid's inside, just look at the top of this page, that isn't a very user friendly url, but then again I could be wrong...... I usually am ;) |
