I just upgraded a copy of UMG to the newly released 5 version.  I only have two options for presentation mode, Classic and Headline.  What should I do to get the new presentation modes to show up?

ok, i just read on snowcovered that i have to purchase the presentation pack separetly. Do i need to purchase one for each install that i have licenses for, or just one presentation pack?

Well you've done it again. This upgrade looks terrific and solve some specific issues I've been working on. Well done.

I have a question about the presentation packs. I got the email, went to snowcovered and as a UMG 4 owner got 5 for the 100% discount (thanks btw).

But I didn't select any presentation packs (was so excited I didn't read that they were not included until later). So, what do I do now? I don't see them listed seperately on snowcovered.

From what i can determine, please correct me if I'm wrong but if you go on snowcovered and bring up UltraMediaGallery 5 there is the option to add the Presentation Pack.  If you click add to cart, the only thing added is the Presentation Pack which I think ran $30.00.

I'm not sure....I'm sure that they'll respond to our posts and hopefully explain it better.  I'm waiting to purchase for that and to find out if I need to purchase it for each license I hold for this or will just one time be sufficient.  I'm hoping only one purchase.

Unless I am doing something wrong this is not accurate. I also completed my upgrade to UMG 5 before I realized the Presentation Pack was an add on rather than included. When I returned to purchase it the only way to get the pack in the cart also resulted in purchasing another license, which I most definitely do not need.

I too didn't realize the presentation pack was an addon.  I later went back and spent the $30.00 and now I'm sorry I did.  Its pretty basic.  I have a few sites running UMG,  Each gallery has 5-8 albums.  These albums have hundreds of photos.  Since there is no configuration for the presenters, they just try to show all 500-800 photos.  Man, it brought my computer to its knees.

It would have been nice to have the presenters as part of a presentation module, not the gallery where you could choose which album and how many photos to show, or show most recent within X-many days.

My opinion, buy UMG 5.0.  Don't waste the money on the presentations yet.

I also didn't notice the presenation pack option, but it sounds like I should wait on purchasing it based on the previous message. I was excited to for the 3D Carousel presentation though, I will wait to see what other's think.

Excellent job of UMG 5 though, great job.

I'm sorry for the delays to give you a reply, just too busy, I handle hundreds of emails today.

I'm sorry this is not mentioned clearly in the newsletter that the presentation pack is an addon. I thought you will read the production description on snowcovered before upgrade, in which this is mentioned many times, I'm sorry for that.

Dave, extra presentation providers are not designed to browse hundreds of pictures, for example, the gallery size of 3d carousel is limited, all pictures are displayed in a ellipse, how can you place hundreds of pictures here?

if you just want to display pictures in a specific album of your gallery, please ues UMG-MediaImporter module to MAP this album to a new gallery, in this gallery you can use prefered presentations.

I'll check with snowcovered about the trouble to order presentation pack.

thanks.

developer edition comes with .net source and flash source, because a presentation comes from 3 parts.

a .net user control ,used to to "Appearance" settings.
a .net class, inherit from our presentation base class.
a flash player.

thanks.
