Hi
I am looking for a media gallery for a new DNN site that I am building for a firm of structural engineers in the UK. I think UMG does what I want, but I want to check before buying as the on-line trial doesn't cover these issues and the downloadable help file doesn't work (it just displays page not found errors).
The site will make heavy use of images (mainly buildings) that need to be maintained by the client's staff and must be very intuitive to non-technical staff after the minimum of training.
I have three places where I would like to use the module:
1. On the home page as a banner containing a rolling display of images from a directory. The images would hopefully be a subset of those in the directory to avoid duplication of the images.
2. Also on the home page as a graphical navigator (I think the right header gallery is close but can the nav be on the left?) Each image would have some text and would then link to a DNN page with more information.
3. A more conventional hierachical album format with project photos, some of which might link to a fuller description page.
Questions:
Can the navigator be on the left rather than the right?
How much text can be displayed from the description field and is this plain text or can it be styled?

please refer to the instructions on the downloads page of you can't read it.
you can use "Dynamic gallery" feature if the desired pictures already exist on your server folder, UMG just examine this folder in run time and display all pictures in it.
the "header" in "right header" is fixed as its name, yes, it seems rightheader is most suitable in this case. the description field can be in html format but please note flash support limited html tags only, like p, b, i, font.
thanks.
