Hi,
We have a lot of albums. We use UMG classic (by the way, would be great to get for some other displays to have the ability to work with nested albums).
So, the time for loading at the beginning if very long. WOuld be nice to have an option to load just the first level, then each time we want to get to a sub-folders, charge this one, instead of charging the all stuff at once.

| It will be hard to alter UMG Classic, which was developed a few years ago to work in this way, however, I'll consider this when rewrite UMG Classic as a html presentation. |

There are actually 659 nested albums, and 73000 pictures.
And My customer has to remove older than 1 year old!!! |

Would it be possible just to load one level at a time?
Or maybe another display specific for nested albums would be a good thing to consider? |

Well, this requires some basic changes to the player, currently it outputs all albums, then build the gallery from the html output.
My suggestion would like to device your gallery to multiple galleries. |

UMG doesn't offer this feature, but you can manually adjust it in database.
open your database, find bizmodules_upg_albumodule table, here you can manually alter the ModuleId column to move an album from one module to another. |

OK, I have done it with an SQl Update + Move the folders
I have a strange behavior I had noticed on new UMGC classic.
If you g to www.studio-deronne.fr for the first time, you will see 15 pages of albums (but a lot of hem are nested albums, so they shouldn't appear there.
If you select one, then go back to root gallery, it found the right numbers of galleries.
If you need codes to check, tell me. |

Forget it. I found a solution:
Remember when I was saying that when arriving on the page, it displayed an album and not the root, despite there was no default album?
What I have done is that I really selected on album for default, then remove it again, and now everything is fine. |

HI,
You were thinking about upgradng UMGClassic for bigs nested articles.
Do you have a schedule now for that?
My customer is considering to sue me, because he says that the upgrade of the module makes him loose 70% of his customers...
So, please, can you give me some date? The idea would be to have an option - checked or no, loading just one level by one level of the nested albums.
If not possible, do you think I can downgrade, or desintall everything, put back umgclassic old fashion ?
Thanks for your help. It becomes urgent for me...
