I was wondering if it were possible to request that the top rated feature use the number of total votes as a determining factor for the photos placement in the list.

for example right now if you rate a photo as 5 stars it is placed at the top of the list. the next time a photo is given a 5 star, it is put at the top, but if a second person give a photo a 5 star it should be bumped to the top I think. It give a better representation of what people really think of pictures.

Genera speaking, you are right.

I just checked the source and intend to include this change in UMG 5.2.1, however, I just found an extra database inquery is necessary if sort by total rates, so if there are 20 photos there are 20 inqueries, so currently I think this may not be supported.

So you are saying that it would be inefficient?

While talking about satellite modules. I was wondering about "top comments" there seems to be no support for displaying who the original author is, nor the original author ID so I am not sure how to link to the original authors photo page (profile intergration mode)

[AUTHORID] is supported in top comments.

Yes I understand that AUTHORID is supported, but it produces the author id of the person who posted the comment, not the photo. I think users would rather jump to the commented picture so they can comment too, not go to the page of the person who commented.

just a thought

ok, PHOTOAUTHORID will be supported in next minor upgrade.
