I just noticed that the profile mode of UMG does not allow the selling of photos even if the setting is activated in the module settings of both the repository module and the profile module. The button does not activate and the price is not displayed in the header even when the token [PRICE] is used. I was hoping we could see the profile mode allow the selling of photos Thanks for all your work Mark

well, this is by design, profile integration mode is specially designed to show pictures created by the user when browse the profile of a user on your site.

but why should we lose funtionality of the UMG player? The ability to sell pictures was a value point to my website. I have also found that other settings like 'log in to comment" do not work. The quick rate module will prompt login but if you use the player raing system you can comment and rate when not logged in. It would I think be much better if the profile inherited these functions aswell... Thanks for listening Mark

if you want to sell photos you can use Personal Gallery mode, this mode also work together with profile module.

Please explain how it works with the profile mode? right now I have on a "my Account" page a userID gallery, this is the module istance that takes all the uploading of user phtos. Here the users set the prices for their photos. On a profile page I have a Profile module instance. this is the sales point, or atleast it should be but it is not allowing purchase. Also the profile module does not display the EXIF data, not prevent users from rating when not signed in

Thank you very much. it works! but the price still does not appear in the header (the token [PRICE] is in place)

Profile Integration displays photos createdy by this user in ALL galleries and ALL albums, so UMG doesn't use the caption header tempate of any albums, it just use the default value, which doesnt' include PRICE token. my suggestion is, you have the source code, right? you can change the default header template to include the price token. thanks.

I got it. Thats in the constant.vb right? But on that topic I was really hoping that UMG Profile Intergration mode would on day filter by album ID. The current build is great and my users are enjoying it very much but I can forsee a problem with users who upload alot of content. It can become very difficult to navigate 150+ photos of a user efficiently, the best solution would to have UMG filter by album (if linked in from a top Albums) and have a UserID friendly top albums module on the users profile page. I know I ask for this alot, but I really have to stress how important I think it is. Thank you Mark

Before I go compiling this, I have a concern. My source version is not the same as the recent build you provided me which allows selling from UserProile Gallery. I will lose that feature if i overwite the DLL will I not?

please wait some some days until I public release it, then you will get the latest souce. about filter by album, actually this is beyond my original design, profile integration mode is designed to show all works from this user when view his profile. maybe you can consider to add it by your self?

One thing I need to clarify before I decide to add the feature myself (it will take some time to learn how to do it i think) What will happen on future updates of UMG? I am not sure what parts of the source will require editing right now, but everytime a new version comes out, I will always have to check for BizMod edits to the same pages and re-work in my customized features right?

you are right, but you don't need to upgrade for evern minor upgrade. basically, I don't suggest to customize it if you really need it. thanks.
