Does Anyone Else Use UMG for Ebay?

Not only did I get this module for displaying and sharing family photos, I found it would be VERY easy to host my own photos and present a gallery for my Ebay buyers.

See this link here: http://cgi.ebay.com/PANASONIC-PV-GS250-3CCD-CAMCORDER_W0QQitemZ280182027503QQihZ018QQcategoryZ20332QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I simply use the Ebay provided "Turbolister" and create my own template including a direct path to the gallery of the item I am selling. In the past, I was able to use the popup code from UMG, but Ebay put a stop to this, so I had to use a direct path to the gallery using "mid" in my path to exclude all other content on my page so as to keep within ebay policies.

I've found with this kind of professional approach, I've been able to increase my sales and increase my sales price by presenting quality photos in a professional layout showing the buyer EXACTLY what they are bidding on. On Ebay, for good sales, it's all how you present it to the buyer.

Just another wonderful way on how to extend the use of UMG. Thanks for a great "ALL IN ONE" solution............

Cheers!

Thanks!

A couple things I forgot to mention:
-The reason I'm not able to use to popup code for the gallery now is because Ebay has put a stop to using javascript.

-My posted link is to an auction already completed. I've added 3 photos to my listing through my template and wrapped them with a direct link to the photo album. That link may not last forever as it is on Ebay. This is an example of the link I am using:

.
You will need to change the numbers for tabid, mid, and albumid to yours.

By doing this, it allows for me to present large photos for good clear identification of the item I'm selling. I constantly monitor similar products being sold and also view previously sold items to see what they are selling for and then I decide on my price. More often than not, I get top dollar for my items, and have no charges for images as I host them myself!

The other cool thing about this is I simply use my same template over and over branding myself, and change my photos and the link to the direct album. Works Great!
