I have yet another idea on how to extend the functionality of UMG.
If you are familiar with the Bi4ce 'go Map' it can display queries from the database. So I figure that it might be possible to make a Flickr type map with UMG. By adding a new 'address' input field to the add photo wizard you would then be able to display icons for those points on the 'goMap'
it might be far more complext to create the link back to the original picture and to do things like aggragate picture from the same user with the same address for the link will have "2 photos from here" or something"
and it would be important to have a thumbnail aswell.
I think this would ad a whole new level of usablility. The 'GoMap' is free and the source is aswell.
Hope you consider this

If this was able to use exif location data, it would be quite something! Cameras are beginning to appear with GPS in them.

I'm still not sure about the significance of this feature, I recorded and will review it when I upgrade.
thanks.

About the significance of the feature.
I will provide a new level of photo browsing and overall user fun/increase in user retention time.
I think alot of people would like their own Flickr.
And right now it seems the User ID based gallery is on the road map for UMG right? This will no doubt see UMG become a bigger draw for online communities and for the online communities it is all about keeping the user coming back right.
I think it would be a great feature to have.
Thanks for listening
