Hi all I've only recently started using UMG and it's great. I asked one question about licensing by email and got a response very quickly. Good product and good support! However, everything has room for improvement. When the slideshow is started and the speed is set to slow in the gallery options, a new user does not have any indication of how long until the next image shows. I think some kind of count down timer would be a nice feature. Next image in 5...4...3 etc some place on the screen. |

| I'll consider this improvement if this is required by more users, however, thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. |

I've often looked at galleries and clicked away from the page because I didn't know that the gallery was going to load another image. Some sort of very subtle loading indicator would certainly let first time visitors know that it isn't a static image. Rob |

Hi Pengsten I've been programming for 30 years and one thing I've learned is it's not the features that everybody asks for that makes a great product. It's the good feature that one person asks for that everybody ends up liking. Users don't know if a feature is good until they see it or until it's explained to them. They usually recognize a good feature once implemented. Programmers on the other hand seem to resist a good idea. All that resistance does is prevent people making more suggestions. I implemented UMG on my clients' site. The idea of the count down timer is not just me, but the clients' staff too. Once you click the begin slideshow button, the only way the user knows anything changed is that the stop button goes active. That's not obvious enough, since even I had to think about it when they asked why it's not advancing automatically. Try to consider the suggestion based on their merit, not on demand. Thanks |

Mike, I appreciate your sharing of your experience in such a long time, I only program 8 years and would be glad to learn from you. Actually we are very open to user suggestions, most enhancements in the lifetime of UMG are collected from our clients, we have a long list of suggested enhancements, when we upgrade this product we review this list seriously and decide which items to be implemented. we know all suggestions from our clients are important forces to evolve our product, so we won't resist it. Thank you. |
