Hi,

What would be really good is for users to have there pwn albums. The admin would create the album and assign the user id to that album so they can upload their own images or is this already in the product???

Another client requested this feature. it seems it will likely be available in the next version which will be released before the end of Fed,2006.

Thanks.

HI,

Has this feature been added to 2.5? If it has I cannot see it there.

I intended to support this feature in version 2.5, but I found it's not a good idea. I think I'll support it in another module - Personal Gallery, which is used to accept requests from your portal users of creating their personal gallery. and create a gallery page for them with predefined page template.

Thanks.

Hmmm - I also want to be able to allow my users to upload photos. Without sub (or nested Albums) this is tricky - let me show you my requirement:

I want to have a page with UPG on called UserGalleries (I do NOT want a gallery module/page for each user).
Then I want to make 1 toplevel gallery for each user (I could set this up on request but one day it could be automated I guess).

Then each user is the owner of an ALBUM (I noticed you allow a user to own a gallery, but if you can't nest galleries this is uselss to me). The album owner can add/edit and modeate photos within their Album only. Hence they can make new sub albums and add photos etc, WITHIN the confines of the gallery settings (so the GALLERY owner controls size limits on albums etc, whereas the individual Album owners can control the content in their albums.

I think a lot of websites would appreciate this concept (of Album Ownership) - not by role, but by user (or both!)
Again - this would greatly increase the uasabilty and value of your product.

Thanks
Rodney

Your suggestion is a little different with my mind. I sent newsletters to get more suggestions from existing clients. I'll take further consideration about it.

Thanks.
