REQUEST:
It would nice to have View permissions also on an Album level, not just on Module level.

SCENARIO:

Typical usage scenario:

·         I want only 1 UPG Gallery module on my site.

·         In this single Gallery, I would like to have multiple Albums that become visible based on the role the user belongs to. Some albums will be public, but some will be reserved to registered members only, specific role members, etc.

Alternative usage scenarios would be to have multiple Galleries, but each Gallery needs Album View personalization, id est: some Albums need Visibility settings to restrict viewing.

IDEAL IMPLEMENTATION:

·         Goto Album Definitions.

·         Edit an Album.

·         Define View Roles (next to Composing Roles and Moderation Roles)

Note: If one wants to implement these scenarios with UPG 2.5.7, one needs to create multiple Galleries and then assign the View permissions on a module level for each of the Galleries. I find it overkill to have multiple Galleries to implement this behavior.

Thanks and kind regards,
Gunther.

This feature were suggested by another clients, and I adopted this good idea. I have already finished this feature in my developing UPG 3.0, and it is EXACTLY as same as what you suggested! so please wait for the next release, maybe 20 days later.

Thanks.
