UMG is already able to intergrate with ST modules so well that I though I might let you know of another perfect match.

ST has introduces a story feed that displays updates on what a user has been doing on a the site. Example if a user joins a group or adds a friend, the module will inform you of that event.

Rod at ST says that the intergration is very simple. he has an API available for it.

Doing this, we could see when a friend uploads a photo or comments on a photo etc.
