This is a well known and reported problem (I have reported it twice and see another user reporting it again last week)... Click on Album to add/edit album and the screen refreshes back to gallery...cannot get to the album management page. Run IISRESET on the hosting server and the album mgmt will work briefly. But this is getting very old. I am getting ready to roll out a new high profile site and hoped to use UMG as my solution. But my users cannot run IISRESET when they wish. Can we finally see what can be done about this issue? Sorry for the "tone"...but VERY frustrated... Roy |

I am logged in as admin (or host) either one... I go to the page with the module installed and go into edit mode. I click on Album...the screen just refreshes and the gallery is redisplayed...no menu to add/edit an album. Logout and login...no fix Start/Stop Application...no fix Run IISRESET on hosting server...it begins to work but will quit again at some undetermined interval later...maybe get one edit and it quits...or maybe you can edit for an hour and it quits. Behavior is consistant on ALL DNN installations on several servers...all instances of this module exhibit the same behaviour. Hope this helps... Roy |

the probem is raised when you set a new "gallery manager", isn't it? I sent you a possible fix by email, please try it. |

The gallery manager always remains the same...me...never changed it. I have installed the fix and it works on initial installation which is not unexpected. The question is if it stays fixed for more than a day. I appreciate the response and will let you know something ASAP! Thanks, R |

That patch did not fix the problem...after a couple of edits which seemed to work, the system returned to the same state. I suspect a caching issue as you mentioned previously. |

if you didn't change any settings or edit your albums, you won't get this problem. so can you please tell me in which case you get this problem? |

I do not understand your question? I need to change some display settings and I need to edit/add albums...if I didn't need to do those activities...I would not need the product. I have done nothing more than change a background color on the installation...I have NOT changed the security settings (managers) as I am the only manager of the albums in question. Every instance of the module on all the websites (different servers and different installed bases) have the SAME issue. These are local servers (not hosted accounts) and are running 2003 and stock IIS 6.0 with default settings. Again...running IISRESET on the server temporarily fixes the problem but it quickly returns. I have purchased 5 licenses so far but unless I can get this fixed for this next project, I will be unable to use it. Thanks! Roy |
