I'm having the same issues when trying to upload with zip files.
Here is the error I'm getting.

I checked with my provider and had them change to ensure ASPNET account and Network_Service account have full control on your portal root folder, then I had them give access to Everyone.
Still the same errors. Running on both dev and production environments.
Running 4.5.3 on one and 4.8.4 on the other.. with the same errors.
Please advise

| the error is proved to be a extra folder in the zip file, the zip should not contain any folders. |
