I have encountered this error on my new dev site when uploading a photo and we are trying to track down the source.

"Upload error. please ensure that the file type is supported or that you have not exceeded your maximum upload quota"

This error does not appear in the DNN event viewer nor can it be found in the servers events. It is quite the mystery. we are in the process of moving to 4.8.3, are there any known bugs?
Where can I find more information as to what is throwing the above error?

Thanks

Mark

it seems you will get this error if you upload some file twice, the DNN file manager prevent you from upload same file again.
