I am using DNNFusion MyProfile module, which uses PID (ProfileID) instead of UserID. I can't pass it to the querystring with Profile Integration mode of UMG because there's no correlation between userID and ProfileID (my userID is 3 for ex, I create a profile and I get a PID of 18 for ex, then I delete my profile, recreate it and I get a PID of say 23 when my userid is still 3.)
Therefore, if I use integration profile with the PID parameter, it displays the pics of PID 23 that are in reality the pics of UID 23 (somebody else). That just doesn't work.
Sorry if I'm not clear but this obviously has to be worked on by DNNFusion and not UMG, I know it works with Smart Thinker my profile since they use UID.
I still want to give my users the possibility of having their own albums, pics etc... and display them in their profile if they want to.
So I am testing UMG 5.2 personal gallery and don't know how to :
1) Get rid of the Share button I don't want people to be able to browse to the PG page since the URL shows the userid. If you randomly change the userid in the url, you can see other people's "private" pictures. You don't know who this is but you can see all of them. That's a security issue for me.
2) Get rid of the embed option in the code button I want to only give users the ability to share their pictures if they want to by copying/pasting the popup code in their profile, not the embed code which doesn't work with DNNFusion Myprofile text module.
3) Give the users the ability to change the presentation provider (widescreen, carousel, classic...)
thanks in advance for your support

you are clear, I fully understand, another client just report same problem some days ago, I tried to contact DNNFusion to see if there is a solution but got no reply. so I think you may need to contact them by your self, to see if userid can be exposed in their profile module. 1, you can edit ucHeader.ascx to manually hide it, for example, you can remove the resourcekey for share button so it is invisible. 2, try to manually edit ucPopup.ascx to hide it. 3, I'm sorry this feature is not supported at this time. thanks. |
