| Sorry about the bold font, it happened due to a copy/paste of the module title. |

Scott & Bent, can you help me to do another test? in ucGallery.ascx, can you please remove all contents after line this: [%=OutputLightboxScript%] but remain the object tag which is inside a div tag? if it still doesnt' work, please remove the object tag too. |

Sample Gallery testes on affected machine: Sample 1:working Sample 2:working Sample 3:Top gallery not working, bottom gallery working Sample 4:Top gallery not working, bottom gallery working Sample 5:working Sample 6:working Sample 7:Top gallery not working, bottom gallery working Sample 8:working Sample 9:working sample 10:working sample 11:working So, it appears the top gallery is not working on pages with 2 galleries installed. I did not do complete testing, I just checked if a flash gallery loaded. Pages continued to "load constantly" even on galleries I marked as working. |

if it still doesnt' work, please remove the object tag too. As requested, I changed ucGallery.ascx, it would seem I removed the SWFObject script and maybe a few other scripts. I left only the div/object/embed tags.
Using only the object tag the SWF loaded fine. the galleries DID NOT constantly load anymore. The javascript error "UMGContainer", which was fixed in the last build I downloaded and installed, came back when only the embed/object/div tags were used. The only difference in the javascript error was instead of being in Char:93 of the script it is now in Char:84, but it is the same error otherwise. 'UMGContainerXXX' is Undefined.
Taking the test one step further, I removed everything below [%=OutputLightboxScript%], at that point the UMG gallery did not show up, the page loaded fine, and no javascript errors were thrown.
I reloaded the release build of ucGallery.apsx (unmodified UMG5.2.2 ucGallery.aspx). |

Ok, let me slightly correct what I posted before. The javascript error I get when I made the modification to ucGallery.ascx was "UMGxxx" is undefined in Char: 84, The older javascript error was 'UMGContainerxxx' is undefined. This error doesnt have 'Container' I have left the modified ucGallery.ascx available for veiwing here. http://www.framemypet.com:81/OurWork/tabid/997/Default.aspx thanks |

[script type='text/javascript'] var UMG[%=ModuleId%] UMG[%=ModuleId%] = document.getElementById['UMG[%=ModuleId%]'] [/script] I added this script below the object, that gets rid of the javascript error I was getting. But that doesnt explain why SWFObject.js is locking up and causing constant page loads, maybe you can find the answer. thanks. |

Bent, I appreciate your assistance so much. If you leave the "script src=xxx" line and div/object/embed tag, do you still get the constant load error? |

Yes, they are working fine now. All three problems are gone from the sample galleries. I will check the date on the version up on snowcovered, is this version up on snowcovered already? Thanks again... and you are welcome for the help. |

Bent, Actually there is still a problem with my last change if you use flash player 8.x. However, I just made another change and I belive it should work in all situtations: including flash 9 and flash 8, and in all major browsers. now I invist you the tell Sample 3 again, will as many machines and browsers as possible, especially with flash player 8. Thank you. |

Sample Gallery tests on this affected machine: (I checked this machines flash version 9.0.47.0, win2003, ie7) Sample 1:working Sample 2:working Sample 3:Top gallery not working, bottom gallery working Sample 4:Top gallery not working, bottom gallery working Sample 5:working Sample 6:working Sample 7:Top gallery not working, bottom gallery working Sample 8:working Sample 9:working sample 10:working sample 11:working All of the galleries "constanly load", galleries marked not working are not displayed at all. I will have to check flash versions on the other machines I have here, I'm not sure which ones have flash8.0 on them. |

bent, you said you still get "constant loading" problem, actually it doesn't load contantly, but you have to wait about 20 seconds to see the top gallery. I don't know why, I guess it's a bug of swfobject 2.0, so I finally decide to degrade and use swfobject 1.5. now try to browse simple gallery 3 again from your computers, I belive it works fine now. this fix is already uploaded to snowcovered. thanks. |
