Just picked up a copy of UMG yesterday for a client I'm working with - I LOVE THIS TOOL!
My client is an actor/model/dancer and having an easy-to-use and slick photo gallery is essential.
I have three questions regarding customization of the classic skin:
1 - Is there any option or workaround to avoid having the caption bar appear on top of the photo? If I resize the dimensions to make the object taller, it doesn't really solve the problem. I know that the captions can be turned off but it's important for my client to show the photographer and makeup artist for each photo.
2 - Is it possible to change the location of the ratings/comments element? Again, it's sitting on top of the photo. Any possibility to move it to the toolbar below or at least always at the bottom-left corner of the photo window? Or have a button like "Show Captions" that says "Rate this Photo" that will make the ratings element appear?
3 - Watermark question - I've got the watermark feature working well sitting in the bottom-right of any uploaded photo, but it seems that it's not quite on the bottom-right of the image. My watermark is tight, but it seems that it's being placed 20px in from the actual corner of the image (ie a 20px margin). Is there anyway to bring it right down?
Beyond that, I think I'm good!
Thanks!

1, there is an option to disable photo caption, however, I don't understand your question so much, you said " Is there any option to avoid having the caption bar appear", and " I know that the captions can be turned off" 2, I'm sorry, the star ions are fixed in the lower left corner of the picture. 3, yes, there are 20x margin, I think it should be ok, isn't it? |

Thanks for responding.
Re: #1, what I mean to say is that the caption & the description fields are rendered overtop of the top part of the photo.
For example, if you go to your Sample #11, and go into the "Esgonale" album, the first photo that appears has a caption (ID1139). Notice that you've hidden a bit of the top-right detail of the image. When you turn off captions, you see the whole image.
My question was whether or not there was a way to move the caption bar somewhere that it wouldn't cut off the top portion of the photo.
Does that make a little more sense?
And as for #3, I think it'll be ok with the 20px margins (I'll make the watermark a bit smaller), but I'd like to request a feature down the road to be able to override those margin settings. It would be helpful -- at least to me; not sure about anyone else. I'll post a message in the appropriate forum to this effect.

ok, if you do need the photo caption, I think you can increase your gallery height, and set "Vertical Align" to "Bottom". I'll consider to add such an option if more peoples request this feature. thank you. |
