Some of my users must have old versions of flash as the carousel is not working for them. Is there a way to show the "Upgrade Flash" link for users who have old flash?

3d carousel only need flash 8, I think it may not be a flash version issue, what' do you mean exactly by not working? is there a screenshot or something?

You are right it is not a flash issue. A couple of my users in my clients office just get a blank window with no carousel. I had them update flash and that did not fix the problem. What else can I try? the site is www.empad.net and the carousel is used in the "Portfolio" sections.

what's your UMG version?
did you get this problem on our sample 3d carousel galleries?
did you get this problem on our other samples?
what OS did your clients use?
did you get this problem if you use another presentation?

thanks.

My clients are able to see you examples. Again this works fine for some people but not for others. I think it is still a host problem. Can I email you the IIS login info for the site to see if you can figure out the problem?

the output of 3dcarousel on your website is good, if you check it with the output of 3d carousel on our website you will see they are exactly same.

however, you said all of your clients, who can't see 3d carousel on your website, can see 3d carousel on this website, are you sure about this?

Yes. They can see the carousel on your site, but cannot see it on theirs.

now I suggest you to open ucGallery.ascx, delete all lines between {script} to {/script}, save changes and try again. in this case UMG doesn't use the script library to render a flash object, it just use the static html code.

My users still cannot see the carousel, but now thay can see an "Update Flash" link at the bottom. They tried updating flash but still no carousel.

I am pleased to report that my issue was fixed. While it took some time, I appreciate Pengtsen's continuing effort to fix this hard to find issue. Thanks!

ya, the problem is sometimes the getBytesLoaded() method in flash returns a value 4 times than the getBytesTotal() method. the fix will be included in next minor upgrade.
