I've installed, configured and have been uploading maybe 50 videos to http://www.hipponexus.com. All have uploaded and transfered to Amazon as designed. Today, I have one that WILL NOT leave the server (uploaded same as others 3 days ago) , and another one that DOES transfer to amazon, but that doesn't get it's link changed from the upload folder (on the staging server) to the amazon server path.

See:
http://www.hipponexus.com/DesktopModules/UltraVideoGallery/UltraVideoGallery.swf?vId=63&portalId=0
no amazon path:
HippoNexus_Vlog002_08.16.08_DanielComp.flv

versus others:
http://www.hipponexus.com/DesktopModules/UltraVideoGallery/UltraVideoGallery.swf?vId=58&portalId=0
Amazon path:
http://hipponexus.s3.amazonaws.com/DanielComp/76639aaa-e1b7-4ac5-9cbb-f2df8088fa0c.flv

I can upload it to amazon via FTP, but I can't seem to change the URL from within the video management module. The path isn't editable, it's simply a text link.

The other file just sits on our server and doesn't move to amazon. The schedule is set to run every two hours, and shows that it attempts to transfer.

BizModules.UltraVideoGallery.Scheduling.AWSOperationScheduler, BizModules.UltraVideoGallery
tried to move 2 videos to amazon s3  SUCCEEDED = TRUE and TIME = 0.11 sec.

Trouble is, all the other logs say the same, the next entry simply shows that the number of videos it tries to move is less (because it transfered others I assume)

I've also redone the s3 integration wizard, and it looks fine.

Suggestions?

Over-all I'm very happy with the modules. I had a hell of a time getting the skins and css to work because the cascading .normal, etc was a pain in the arsss. But, the vids are working cool. Good job on the tool.

Ideas on the fix for the two vids?

it seems your server doesn't support flv mime type? so videos can't be played before transfering to amazon(amazon's server support flv). it is suggested to correct this problem so your videos are available before transfer.

do not upload your videos to amazon manually, please let UVG to transfer it, otherwise this video can't be deleted on amazon server when delete it in UVG.

The log is here:
http://www.hipponexus.com/AWSOperationLog.txt

The 1st video is not transferd because of a timeout error. now what's the file size? what's your executionTimeout setting in web.config?

thanks.

Wow. I'm impressed with the response time, and the accuracy of your support. You are a tech GOD!

I've added the MIME type, though there was a question several people posed -

"In the Adobe tech note it tells you to use “flv-application/octet-stream”. This will work but if for some case it doesn’t there is another mime-type that browsers recognize and that is “video/x-flv”. "

I used the "video/x-flv" Your thoughts?

The file is 43meg. The  executionTimeout="8789"

Here's a simple thought. Are you saying that if I DELETE a file directly off the Amazon S3 server then, UVG will NOT delete it from our upload folder (on our server) automatically? That would explain why the URL is correct in the database UVGvideo table, but the file still sits in the UVGfolder.

What about all the .jpg images in the users root folder (UltraVideoGallery\DanielComp)? I see a bunch in one of the two other folders - (120x90) and none in the (80x60) I assume these are the thumbnails, but what are the 320x240 images used for, and can they be moved into a (320x240) folder?

actually you can use anything as mime type, on my computer I just input "flv" and it works fine.

once a video is transfered to amazon(including its video file and jpg screenshot), UVG do delete local video and screenshot, but if the video is not properly transfered, for example, the video file is transfered but not the screenshot, UVG don't delete it and will try it again next time.

try to increase your executionTimeout setting to see if it fix the timeout error.

the pictures in xXy are not transfered.

thanks.
