Pentgsen R or Anyone who can help,
I've been running a personal dnn site for a while now and I could never find a good way to share my videos with my friends. Your application is perfect. Unfortunately, I host with godaddy and they force me to run at "Medium Trust" so I cannot take FULL advantage of what this module offers. However, it still works for me. To get around the "Medium Trust" issue, I use your desktop application. When your app tries to upload the UVG.zip file over to my site, I get errors. I figured out that I can just copy the files over myself using any FTP. For those of you having the same problem. Here is what I do:
1. Use the Client conversion tool to convert my files 2. Login to my dnn site with WINSCP (FTP Tool) 3. Copy my files over to the /portal/0/UltraVideoGallery/host directory 4. Go to My Videos and hit the synchronize button 5. DONE!
Anyway, the reason for this email is that I want to know if there is a way to modify the Video Player module to show the ratings but remove the Share Video and Mark Inappropriate links from the screen. Even though the users of my site are my friends, I don't want them to have the ability to send my video link to someone else. The next thing you know, my site is all over the internet. I know that I could just remove the whole section but I want to KEEP the ratings information.
Also, do you have a full list of TOKENS so I can use them when customizing my layouts.
I apologize if any of this was already covered in your forum. And I really ylove your product

1, what error did you get when upload videos in uvg converter? 2, you can alter VideoRating.ascx in UVG folder manually to remove the share and mark as imappropriate link. 3, the available tokens can be seen when click on the question button beside the text box. |

Thanks for the quick response!
As far as the error. It is this error that is mentioned in this post:
http://www.bizmodules.net/Support/tabid/55/forumid/13/tpage/1/view/topic/postid/2982/Default.aspx#2988
I've adjusted my dnn web.conf accordingly(upload size and timeout parameters)
Reduced the chunk size
The upload only fails when I try to upload a large group of videos. The part of the upload process that zips the files to UVG.zip works fine, it fails when it tries to put it on the server. My guess is that every once and a while my internet connection loses connection to my site and that is when it fails. I know this because when I use WinSCP (FTP Tool), I can see when the connection drops. However, the WinSCP has options where it will resume downloading after x amount of seconds. Eventually it starts back up and finished the upload.
