Pengtsen,

UVG is woirking great in IE and was fine in Firefox 2, but in Firefox 3 the player says undefined where the watermark is and no videos play.  This is the case with videos uploaded directly to the site or videos linked through YouTube.

The error I see is swfobject does not exist and occurs in this line

swfobject.embedSWF('/DesktopModules/UltraVideoGallery/UltraVideoGallery.swf', 'UVGContainer12852', 350, 300, '8.0.0', '', false, params);

I've used firefox 3 to look at some of your demos and they are fine, so I have to assume it has something to do with my setup

I'm on DNN 4.8.4 UVG 2.4.2.  BUT Everytime I try to upgrade I get a timeout as discussed elsewhere in the forum, so I should say I THINK I'm on ver 2.4.2... the module def says I am but the module upgrade process doesn't really give me the feedback to feel comfortable with it.

It would appear I have the latest... 2.4.2 Of course as mentioned. The problem is when I upgrade the process throws the dreaded thread aborted exception so I'm not completely sure the upgrade completes in it's entirety.

try to download UVG again and install it, swfobject.embedSWF is not used anymore.

That worked.  Although I had to take drastic measures inside the core of DNN to get the upgrade to run properly.  I have to assume the ThreadAborted timeout error was keeping the module upgrade from completing.

By the way.  I skirted the ThreadAborted error by commenting out the lines

DataCache.ClearHostCache(True)

...in the .vb files referenced in this article
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Products/Development/Forge/GroupLocalization/tabid/839/EntryID/1713/Default.aspx

recompiled the core and copied dotnetnuke.dll to the live site.  I don't know what side effects this might have but it at least got me past this obstacle.
