Hi Pengsten.

I have an install of UVG Enterprise 2. Everything is set up and working except for the Related Videos module on the UVG_VideoPlayer page.

Related and same author never load. It just shows loading...

any ideas why?

Thanks

I had read another post about running the congiguration wizard again.

"In most case this is because Ajaxpro is not properly enabled, can you run configuraton wizard again and ensure it is enabled?"

I did go through the wizard and there is no checkbox for Ajackpro. The wizard completed but still the same problem.

I was the earlier poster who Pengtsen directed to run the config wizard again.  I did and it worked but only for awhile.  It stopped working and I have rerun the configuration wizard multiple times but it is still stuck loading.  I have given Pengtsen access to my site and I'll let you know what he discovers.

And like you, I never was presented with any dialogue box during the config wizard that made any reference to AjaxPro.

Hi Buck,

What exact version did you install?  2.2?

Thanks,

Paul

This is the same version I installed.  Must be a bug with this version.

pl sellers' problem is a 3rd component make vid.aspx returns a blank page.

buck's problem is ajaxpro is not properly installed due to unknow reason, buck, can you check your web.consig to see whether file line exist:

add verb="POST,GET" path="ajaxpro/*.ashx" type="AjaxPro.AjaxHandlerFactory, AjaxPro.2"

thanks.

Hi Pengsten,

add verb="POST,GET" path="ajaxpro/*.ashx" type="AjaxPro.AjaxHandlerFactory, AjaxPro.2" /

Yes, it is in the handlers section.

DNN 4.8.2

On a additional note, this site is also having the inability to show captcha.

A senior tech at powerdnn is looking into that issue in the morning.

ok, I guess it is a server configuration issue.

by the way, what's your site url?

currently this url returns 404:

http://mycountyhistory.org/ajaxpro/prototype.ashx

in this most, this can be fixed by turn off IIS Site properties -> Main folder -> Configurations -> Find ASHX and double click it -> Check file exists.

thanks.

I've eliminated the 3rd party module conflict but the module still stays stuck loading.

I have also noticed that anytime I try to delete this module from a page, it returns an "object not set to an instance" error.

Buck, did you get this resolved by following Pengtsen's last bit of advice in the previous post?

I followed his directions but still have the same problem.

I'm running Win 2003 with IIS 6.

pl sellers, in another post you said your problem is gone, so did you still have any trouble with it?

The problem comes and goes.  I've completely disabled the 3rd party module that we thought might be causing the issue, but the problem remains.

Actually, it was working properly and I did a simple "move to rightpane" for the module and the problem reappeared when the module was moved.

Not sure what else to do.

Pengtsen,  please use the host account info I sent you to log in to the site.  The related/same author module has other strange behaviors besides the loading problem.  For example, if I move the module to my right pane, the only thing that is visible after the move is the drop down arror to access the actions menu.  Also, in bothe FF and IE, there are page errors associated with the module.  I also cannot add comments or ratings.  All the problems seem to be on this page where the player gets loaded.

Thanks,

Paul

the problem is still related to ashx support, currently this page returns a 404 error:

http://www.jupiterchristian.org/ajaxpro/prototype.ashx

so can you find this line in your web.config:?

add verb="POST,GET" path="ajaxpro/*.ashx" type="AjaxPro.AjaxHandlerFactory, AjaxPro.2"

Yes Pengtsen...that line is in my web.config file and I also have all the appropriate entries in my pageblaster config file per the recommendations of the other pinned thread on this forum.

if this line do exist, then it must be a server configuration issue, I guess ashx is no longer supported in your IIS Site properties, can you ask your host company to check it?

I host my own site on a win 2003 server with IIS 6.  I have checked the site configuration and support for ashx is enabled and the check box is ticked that verifies the file.  Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Paul
