I have installed the modules and the binaries without issue. I have uploaded several .avi files and they have been succesfully compressed and play as expected. However when I load a .flv file that does not need to be compressed/coverted to flv it does not play. It shows in the list with no thumbnail, I understand I will have to create these when not using the binaries. But when I click on the empty video thumbnail it does not play. What I am I missing?
Also one additional question. I have not looked at the database yet but if I upload a 2G avi file and it is compressed to a .flv, lets just say it compresses to 100MB. What happens to that 2G .avi file? Does it sit on the server and take up storgae space or is it deleted and the only reference to that video it the .flv file.
Thanks

the original file is not kept, but DON'T upload a 2gb file to your server, please convert it to flv with UVG Converter then upload the converted file only. are you sure all other videos which can converted from avi plays file? if so, please send me your .flv file in question. you can upload it to your server by FTP and send a link to service@bizmodules.net. thanks. |

| Thanks for the information. Let me mess around with it a little more. I compressed the FLV file with Flash Media Encoder at 700KBS. That is the file that will not play. I will try the UVG convertor and see if I get different results. Thanks for the advise on the 2G file. |

| Perhaps the same problem here is the same as my problem. After uploading an flv that does not need compression or conversion, it has bad permissions, does not read the length of the video and there's no screenshot. |

Ivan, what is your prolem? if you see an empty gallery, please choose "I can't see it" when ask you the flv mime type support in UVG Configuraiton Wizard. if you see a windows login window, please check the permission set of your portal root folder, if it still doesn't work, please check your c:\windows\temp folder. |
