The module UVG_VideoInformation has a textbox for a URL to the current video.
this URL is showing up as http://mydomain.com/DesktopModules/UltraVideoGallery/UltraVideoGallery.swf?vId=3&portalId=0
BUT this URL is not working.  When I pull up the URL, no video is displayed, and IE shows a page error.  (like it does if a javascript event isnt handled properly)

If needed I could post more information from the debugger in firefox, as it tends to provide more information about page errors, but at the present time I dont have firefox installed on this development machine. (I could if needed)

I have tested this on 2 computers, one works the other does not

Both are running IE 7.0.5730.11 and flash 9

the URL is working on a machine running server2003r2
the URL IS NOT WORKING on the machine running windows XP

I have also tested this using the following URL
http://bizmodules.net/DesktopModules/UltraVideoGallery/UltraVideoGallery.swf?vId=15&portalId=0

I got this URL off the demo version on bizmodules.net

Once again the URL is working on the server 2003r2 machine, and not working on my windows XP machine.

Is this link working for anyone else using windows XP?
http://bizmodules.net/DesktopModules/UltraVideoGallery/UltraVideoGallery.swf?vId=15&portalId=0

Or is it just my windows XP machine?

thanks =D

Yes "normal view" is working on the XP machine.  The video plays embeded in the "videoplayer" tabid.

But when I grab the URL it does not work, this is the current format of the URL:
DesktopModules/UltraVideoGallery/UltraVideoGallery.swf?vId=2&portalId=0

I think a better way to give the URL would be to grab the current URL  (just my opinion, as I can see reason why you would want to do it both ways) it would be in this form:
http://domain.com/tabname/tabid/tab#/VideoId/vid#/Video-Title.aspx

then the URL given would display the complete site skin and DNN menu of the tabid instead of just the SWF object...

I'm able to see the UMG galleries on your site but not the URLs given by the UVG formed like this one..

http://www.bizmodules.net/DesktopModules/UltraVideoGallery/UltraVideoGallery.swf?vId=15&portalId=0

do not work on this machine. This link does not work on this machine.

I see some confusion here...you asked me to check the "UMG" galleries on your site.  Did you mean UMG? or UVG? I tested both on your site, everything worked except the URL you give when I try to view the videos (in UVG) with that URL given (by the embed)it doesnt work.

You asked "your UVG is latest 2.0.4, right?"

Answer:Yes it is.

I do like having the URL directly to the SWF object and passing in a query to play(its nice having it full screen), it works on most of the machines tested, but it would be nice to have this be a setting and offer the option to provide a URL that includes ALL of the items on the "PLAYER" tabid,  I put other modules there to add functions, it woud be nice to have the option to use those functions.

Thanks.

Sorry for any confusion.

yes, I meant "UMG", I want to know whether UMG works on your XP conputer.

I'll add a new token to represent the url of current page in UVG_VideoInformation module.

about your problem, do you get this problem on all XP computers? or just one?

I am having this same issue i just have not got round to reporting it to yous,

The UVG is working quite well,  but i am having the same issue as this other user,

my site http://www.newirelandmedia.com

heres an example i have taken this url from the url box on the video page, this url should allow users to go straight to the video,  it brings up the flash player but no video plays.

http://newirelandmedia.com/DesktopModules/UltraVideoGallery/UltraVideoGallery.swf?vId=70&portalId=0

I have tested this on more than one computer all were windows xp,

it is the same for the embedded links,

if i include this in a web page it does not play the video

kind regards

Thank you for the fix in the current release:

New [DNNPLAYURL] token in UVG_VideoInformation module, which represent the url to play this video in normal DNN page
