Hello! I have found the error, why the permission of the converted videos is wrong. I wanted to tell you, what I have found out, so you can perhaps help others, if they have the same problem, or perhaps you can change something, that this error does not show up anymore. If a Video is uploaded, the converting process creates a files in the Windows Temp folder (in my case C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\). After that, video is moved to the UltraMediaGalley Folder in the Portal. Because of the move of the file, the NTFS-Rights are also moved with the video, so if the permission of the Windows Temp folder is not the same as in the Portal, or at least enough rights for access in the Portal, the video will not be shown. After each conversation I had to reset the right strukture of the UltraVideoGallery folder to get the videos working. In my case, i edited the right Strukture of the Temp folder to the same rights as the UVG folder, and now it works. Perhaps it wold be good to copy the video into the portal, and then delete the original, so these errors would not show up. Greeting Peter |

are you sure? I tried to set my temp folder to be read and write by administrator only, then I tried to convert a video by UVG Converter, then I went into the output folder,C:\Program Files\BizModules.net\UVG Converter\Output, to check its permission set, I see it properly inherited the permission from the output folder. thanks. |

I am not talking about the converter tool. I talk about the DotNetNuke UVG install + the binary pack, so the conversation is done by the portal, not by the extra converter tool..... |

| ok, so can you try to grant ASPNET account and Network_Service account read permission on your temp folder? |

As i wrote, i already did this. I have put the same rights to the temp folder of windows, as there where in the UVG in the portal, and now it works. But i think this is not the perfekt solution. i wanted to inform you, that perhaps this can be corrected sometime. Greetings Peter |
