Everything was working fine with my computer until when I installed Flash 9 from Adobe. I thought it was a good idea to upgrade to Flash 9... After upgrading, I can no longer view any of your Modules on my site and not even on your own site.

I am getting the following error:

Your Flash Player is too old or we cannot detect it.
To view this gallery properly, please install Flash Player 7.0 or above.

As you can see I now have flash 9, which I think should work with your apps. Any thoughts as to what might be happening?

I uninstalled flash 9, and reinstalled flash 7, and everything is back again in order. If you're having a similar problem, you can download flash 2 upwards to 9 from the flash archived page. Here is the url:

well, my flash plugin was uninstalled 2 days ago, and when I browse a webpage which contains flash content yesterday, I was required to install flash 9, so I installed this version, since it was installed only 24 hours ago, I believe my flash plugin is latest, but UMG and UVG works find on my computer.

Also, flash 9 is the most popular flash plugin now, but I didn't get any other reports about this problem, so I think it should be fine.

I'll investigate this issue if more peoples report this problem.

I was able to view the videos with my Windows XP computer with no problems, so I decided to make sure that the problem is not with my Vista computer. Indeed, it was with Vista security settings. After disabling User controls, I tried again to install Flash 9. This time I no longer have the Flash player out of date error. Flash 9 is working fine with UVG/UMG.

On another note, I was able to upgrade to UVG2 with relative ease. The only problem I am having is with the related videos module. I am having a post back problem with it. I've decided not to use it at this time until I figure out the problem. It says FromTo is not defined any time I added it to the page.

Is it possible to have a video play right away after clicking its thumbnail, but allow the embeded video play only after clicking the video player? As of now, it seems that if you choose auto play in the settings, both the video player and the embeded video play right away... I think they need to have independent settings.

Thanks again

About the vista secruty settings problem, can you describe it in more detail? it may be helpful to our users.

You get a script error in RelatedVideos module? can you add it to a page and let me see this error?

I'll add an option to set "auto play" in embed mode in UVG 2.0.2.

thanks.

Flash 9 is a release that is suppose to work with windows vista. It addreses a few security issues that were present in previous releases - This is what I heard. But Windows Vista security with regards to installing applications seems to interfere with the installation process. I turn off my windows vista firewall and from the control panel I selected User Accounts and then Turn User Control on or off. I unchecked the the option. This helps to lessen the security during installation and I think Flash likes it, because it is now working.

I also found some time to look at the related videos module and it is also working now for me. I changed the code in the relatevideos.ascx file and also in the relatedvideos.ascx.resx to work for. On my ste at SalonePlace.com, I am the only Author of all the videos posted on the site. I found it unnessary to have a choice to select either related or by author. I also did not need the tab, thus the reason to change the code. Please take a look at the implementation at http://www.saloneplace.com.

Go straight to one of the videos by using the link below

I am still testing...will let you know of any other problems

Thanks again
