I have a website www.anderly.com that I am unable to use UVG Converter to upload videos to. This is a multi-portal server and this site is PortalID:10 So, for DNN Website, I have entered: www.anderly.com/portalId=10, but it is not working. I have also tried www.anderly.com?portalId=10 Every time I try to upload a video, it says, "Connection failed, please check your UVG instance URL". Please tell me if I am doing something wrong. I have tried doing exactly what is says in the user guide. Thanks, Adam |

UVG use this webservice to upload videos to your website: http://www.anderly.com/Desktopmodules/UltraVideoGallery/ConvertorClient.asmx but currently this webservice fired an exception, the most possible reason is your web server dont' support web service, however, please follow its instruction to change customErrors to Off to ensure this problem, if you see a permission exceution, then your server must disallow web service, please contact your hosting service provider to check it. thanks. |

I do get a security exception when browsing to that URL. Also, I turned off custom error messages, so you can now see the error message. This is on a dedicated server that I own, so I have full control over the box to make any changes that are necessary. Please let me know what changes I need to make to get this web service to work. Thanks for your help! |

yes, this is a permission exception. you must configure your server to allow web srevice. Is your website runing under medium trust? the simplest way is to change it to full trust. |
