I have switched hosting (Now with PowerDNN) and I can’t get ultra video to work correctly. I’m running DNN 4.5.5 and Ultra Video 1.4. The host says that all permissions are correct and the site supports .FLV – I know that mime types is set correctly. 1.I can play .FLV files both in Ultra Video and another flash player. 2.I can’t get a screen capture. 3.I can’t play the First Run video, but the player is there. 4.In the Ultra Video folder I see the firstrun.wmv, but not firstrun.flv 5.I have installed the bin folder 6.I can put .flv files into the portal folder by ftp and they will play (no screen shot), but I can’t upload .flv files. I get this message. An Error Has Occurred When Attempting To Save The File C:\Inetpub\vhosts\actone.com\httpdocs\Portals\0\UltraVideoGallery\stevemerle\Michael_VP6_512K.flv. Please Contact Your Hosting Provider To Ensure The Appropriate Security Settings Have Been Enabled On The Server. What should I have my host look at next? Thanks, Steve. |

the most possible reason is your new server dont' support external process, so videos can't be converted online and screenshot can't be captured. To confirm it, please tell me the url of UVG_FirstRun module on your website. thanks. |

yes, the permission to launch external process is disabled on your website, so UVG can't convert videos only. Now you can use UVG Converter to add videos. thanks. |

Hi - this is the reply I got from PowerDNN about enabling external processing. Hi Steve, I believe we do have this enabled for you, however, if you can have BizModules provide a walkthrough on how to apply those security settings for you, we can verify that for you. Always glad to help, Joe R. So it would great if you could provide a walkthrough. As for using the converter - three problems - I work on a mac and it looks like the converter is windows only - I also use Sorenson Squeeze to convert into .flv files and I really like it, lots of options - and wouldn't I still be without screen shots. Thanks, Steve. |

Well, you can try to add this line to appSettings section in your web.config: <add key="DirectShellExecution" value="true" /> If external is available it will fix your problem. thanks. |
