Did you use UVG_FirstRun module before? if you can't see video in this module, then your server may not support launching external process from .NET run time, in this case, you should use our client-side application, UVG Converter, to add new videos.
If you can see video in UVG_FirstRun module, then you should not get this problem.
Thanks.

My problem of converting wmv files to FLV files was resolved when I added the following nodes in the web.config file as instructed by Pengtsen. Big Thanks to him.
<add key="MencoderSupportedVideo" value=".rm,.rmvb,.ra,.ram,.smil,.swf,.m4v" />
<add key="Ffmpeg_r7945SupportedVideo" value=".avi,.mp4,.wmv" />
The above two line instructs the UVG to use FFMpeg to convert wmv, not mencoder.
By default Mencoder is used to convert wmv as in my case wmv files cannot be converted to Flv by mencoder, Ffmpeg is used.

We have just purchased the module and it installed fine. .flv mime types are enabled and working on the server. The first run video plays without a problem. We are however getting the error "This video can not be converted into mpg (or flv) format" when we try to encode .mov files or .rm files. .wmv files process perfectly.
We have added the two lines to the web.config as mentioned above but we still get the error. Any further assistance would be greatly appreciated.

this problem is related with UVG 1.
in UVG 2, if you passed the permission check and get "this file can't be converted" message, maybe your source video is corrupted or have an unknown codec, you can email it to us so we can check it for you.

Need help urgently!! Im having the same issue uploading videos & I have a over 50 videos to upload.. It gives me these following formats to upload (Supported formats: flv, mov, mp3, mp4) and i've tried uploading in mov and mp4 and get this error.. When I upload in flv it uploads the file ok and can be view ok but it tells me screen shot not available. I need a solution to either problem please either being able to upload in the other file formats and hopefully I wont have the "Screenshot not available" problem or a solution to when I upload in flv that it lets me see the screen shot, becuase I cant even manually pick a screen shot..
Thanks Orlando..

please run the permission check again, can you pass it? I guess not.
if you can't pass the permission check then UVG is not able to convert any videos.
