Just purchased the entreprise edition of this module. With this support forum, I manage to get the FLV mime type inserted in the IIS. I can see the FirstRun. Now I try to upload a mp4 file, which are supported in the module, and are in the accepted filetypes (host). When I try to upload mp4 file (from Nokia N93), I get this error: "This file can't be converted to FLV movie" What can I do to fix this ? |

Have you tried converting anything else? I ask because it may be an issue with permissions on the server - from memeory you need execute permissions for the module to be able to convert the files to FLV. h |

If FirstRun works, then all permission are okay. Please email your video to service@bizmodules.net for investigation. Thanks. |

Ulrik, to fix your problem, please download UVG 1.0.3 from Snowcovered, then add this line to configuration->appSettings section in your web.config: <add key="MencoderSupportedVideo" value=".rm,.rmvb,.ra,.ram,.smil,.swf,.m4v,.mp4" /> Then it should be okay. Thanks. |

Well, just simply install UVG 103 will fix your problem, you don't need to edit your web.config. Thanks. |

Hi, I have downloaded the UVG 1.1 trial to try it out before buying the product. I tried to upload wmv, avi, mov files but they cannot be uploaded and resulted with the error 'This file can't be converted to mpeg file'. After reading this thread, i checked for the following line in the web.config file '<add key="MencoderSupportedVideo" value=".rm,.rmvb,.ra,.ram,.smil,.swf,.m4v,.mp4" />' It was not found and I added the line and tried uploading the file again and it started to give 'This file can't be converted to FLV movie' error. How to resolve this error. This is very urgent as I want to setup video gallery immediately. if I find this product to be worth I would definitely buy it. |

Did you installed binary pack properly? If so, can you see a short video in UVG_FirstRun module? if you can't see it, your user may not have enough permission to convert videos online, but you can use UVG Converter to convert videos locally and upload it to your website. Please contact service@bizmodules.net if you need a trial version of UVG Converter. Thanks. |

I really appreciate your prompt reply. Thanks for that. I did not install the binaries and I'm not too sure how to do that. Can you please guide me to install the binaries. I have already downloaded the files. Rgds, SS |

Its an update for my earlier post. I managed to install the binaries. I got the installation details from the User Guide provided in this website. Now I'm able to watch the movie in the FirstRun but still when I upload the file I get the same error 'This file can't be converted to FLV movie'. What am I missing? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. Rgds SS |

Okay, can you pick some other videos on your hard disk and try to add them? maybe in other formats. If you can convert other videos, I guess it is a problem of this video file, please send it to me and I'll take a look. Thanks. |

Hi, Thanks for your response. I have tried with many wmv files and some of them could be uploaded but cannot play, some of them totally failed to upload. Some of the avi files failed to upload. Tried with one mpeg file and it was successful. Flv file do not have any problems. I'm trying out other type of files too. Can I send the video files to service@bizmodules.net or anyother means to send you the files? Thanks for your support. Rgds SS |
