What is your current "My server support flv mime type" option in UVG_Configurations module? try to alter it and try again. Does the FirstRun module works in your local computer? if not, it must be a problem problem. |

I added the setting <add key="DirectShellExecution" value="true" /> to the AppSettings Section in web.config. Also, the check box "Flv mime type is supported on my web server" is checked but I don't know how to configure the local VS 2005 ASP.Net Development Web Server to enable the Flv MIME type. When I install the FirstRun Module on the local site, I get a "blank gallery" (empty video player). Anyway, I just recompiled the site and I still get "Screenshot Not Available". I have to ask this once again: Can you please list the steps required to upload (and convert) an .avi video to a LOCAL website? I'm going to try to upload a video to the local web site manually using your recommended steps. When I tried to upload a converted video using UVG Converter 1.1, I get the error: >> Connecting to Ultra Video Gallery... >> Connection failed, please check your UVG instance url For the value in UVG Converter 1.1 > Settings > DNN Website: I have http://localhost:1269, which is the local address of my website. Thanks, Stefan CSC Inc. |

in The FirstRun module, please pass "Output=True" in the querystring. You will see a red string, if it start with "Conversion Result:Success", then, the permission is ok. If you see "Conversion Result:Failed", then you don't have necessary the permissions to convert a video. Please tell me what you see and let me give you further assistance. What do you see when you browse this url in your browser? http://localhost:1269/Desktopmodules/UltraVideoGallery/ConvertorClient.asmx thanks. |

Can you please provide detailed steps on how to do this? Thanks, Stefan CSC Inc. |

I am assuming that you mean add /output=true to the url of a page that contains a UVG_FirstRun module. So the url would be http://localhost:1269/wwwroot/Video/tabid/83/Default.aspx/output=true When I do this I get the following in red text in the UVG_FirstRun module : Conversion Result:Success Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. ................. |

UVG Converter use this web service to upload converted videos, since you get a 404 error, UVG Converter can't connect to UVG. Can you check why you get this 404 error? this url should be valid if the UVG url is correct as you declared. |

As you see, the conversion result is successful, so the permission is ok, you can leave it alone now. Now please uncheck "My server support FLV mimetype" and try to browse FirstRun module again, you should be able to see a short video in it. if so, your other videos should work now. thank you. |

For a formal definition, please review the Service Description. CreateBlankFile You should invoke this method to create a blank file on your server before continue. Ok, I can now see the FirstRun video. But IU still have my original problem: All videos display "Screenshot Not Available" I assume that this is because I did not upload the videos correctly. Can you please list the recommended steps to upload a video so that I can UVG can display ScreenShots? Thanks, Stefan CSC Inc. |

ok, UVG Converter should work if you change UVG Url to: http://localhost:1269/wwwroot. Now you can see the video in FirstRun, but you can see your uploaded video in UVG player? There isn't recommended steps to upload videos, if your video file is valid, just upload it in UVG_AddVideo module should work. thank you. |

I uploaded a video using UVG_AddVideo and tried to use the Capture link to generate a screenshot but I still get the message 'Screenshot Not Available'. Teh video plays fine. I tried to upload a video using UVG Converter 1.2. The error displayed is >> Connecting to Ultra Video Gallery... >> Ultra Video Gallery on this website is not activated yet My serial number was not originally sent from snowcovered but I rerequested one and I now have the serial number. Where do I enter the serial number??? Thanks, Stefan CSC Inc. |

Did you download module PA and installed on your localhost? if so you should not be required to enter a serial number. this problem should only occurs if you installed the trial package fron bizmodules.net. UVG_AddVideo module should require you to enter a serial if it is not activated yet. So now the problem is, you can upload video and UVG can convert it, you can play it, but you can't capture a screenshot? If so, can you email your video to service@bizmoudles.net? Thanks. |

I bought UVG and UMG from Snowcovered and installed them as PAs on my localhost installation. I never installed any trial package. Nevertheless, I am getting the following error in UVG Converter 1.2 when I try to upload a converted video to http://localhost:1269/wwwroot: >> Connecting to Ultra Video Gallery... >> Ultra Video Gallery on this website is not activated yet I looked everywhere but can't find where in the UVG_AddVideo module I enter the serial number. Please provide details. Next to every video on my site the message 'Screenshot Not Available' with the blue question mark icon is displayed. The only way I have been able to upload and play a video is through the UVG_AddVideo module "From local disk". When I try to use UVG_MyVideos>Edit (pencil)>Capture link, to create a Screenshot it doesn't work. I have tried everything, but no matter what I do I can't see screenshots on the localhost website. The only place where I have been able to see a screenshot is in UVG Converter. I sent you a sample video seperately to service@bizmoudles.net Thanks, Stefan CSC Inc. |

can you try to add another video in UVG_AddVideo module, if your UVG is not activated you will be required to enter a serial number. However, I belive you should not be required to activate UVG on "localhost", I'm confused. But if UVG do require to to enter a serial, please enter your serial which is delivered after buying it. I sent you another UVG build for testing purpose. thank you. |
