How to capture a screenshot for your video? In Ultra Video Gallery, each video have a screenshot, you can use it in video listing to give visitors a brief view of your video. In default, a screenshot is captured at 1st frame of your video when you add it. You can change it in Edit Video screen. In Edit Video screen you can see the screenshot displayed at left side like this: Any suggestions on what is missing? Does not capture on upload and cannot manual capture on edit. |

Thanks.[/quote] I uploaded a full site last night to Webhost4life so I could give the program a good workout. Yes, the file FFMpeg.r7945.exe is in the Binaries folder on the host server. The flv file is being made and it is creating the proper folder for the admin who is logged in. The jpg that is being added to the admin folder is the 633127346494931250.jpg Thanks |

Just a thought, The first time I installed it, it did make a thumbnail. I did not try the capture. The firstrun.flv constantly came up when I went to the video player page. I had manually deleted the firstrun.flv file via ftp. Ever since then the thumbnail would not generate. I had also deleted the entire module (well I delleted addvideo and flipped ajax off). Re-installed and pushed over all the binaries again. It made no difference. Shouldn't you be able to remove the first run module after the initial test? |

So your problem is, you can add new videos, the video can be converted to FLV format, but the screenshot can't be captured, right? If so, could you please send me your video? my email address is service@bizmodules.net. Thanks. |

Yes, that is correct. I have been going through some tests with various formats. Most of the files that I want to push to the web are produced avi's that were first edited in Ultra 2, formerly serious magic and now a Adobe product). We then use Camtasia studio to add voiceover and music and save in Camtasia's default flv format. I have tried these with no screenshot being produced. I have tried taking avis and encoding them in the Riva encoder to flv and the adding them to UVG with no production of a screenshot. I took a stock wmv file from Vista viddeo samples and added that video. The err result was - This file can't be converted to Mpg movie. I will be happy to send any one of these files to you. I am also sending you an email. TIA Buck |

| One more thing. I tested sending a file ftp to the admin folder. It did end up in the correct folder. But, when I sync the file did not show up in UVG mods. |

Hi, I've purchased the enterpise module and I'm having the same issue. I have my server setup correctly and I can convert any the formats supported. The problem is once you select 'browse' for your video and click update the 'AddVideo' module appears to change to add the capture function, but in the video textbox, the video that you have selected by browsing is missing. You have to browse for for it again, click update to have it converted and then go back to MyVideos, click on the pencil for your converted video then capture a screen shot. So it appears, that you have to select and convert before you can capture screenshot. What I'm doing is a work around, but for to live, I'm hoping you can fix the screen capture function when you are uploading/converting a video. Thanks and I hope you can fix this soon as this is the only DNN module I can see that gives DNN'rs this awesome capability.!!! |

Jerry, I guess this problem is fixed in UVG 1.0.3, however, I didn't publicly release it because I'm not sure, woule you mind to do beta test for me? I tried to send you UVG 1.0.3 by email, but failed, can you contact me by another email address? Thank you. |

Hi, I wouldn't mind testing it for you. Please email me and I will provide another address for you if you still want me to test it. However, I've switched to Enterprise 1.1 and it seems to be working there. On occasion the file will not upload. I'm not sure if that's the server timing out. But it if you choose a video and upload it, it does capture the first frame automatically. On a side a note, if you can set a default category for the video list to show when you first goto the page, that would be a great enhancement. |

| We are having the exact same problem. It doesn't work either way. Quite frustrating because we just purchased it and we can't use it. So what's the newest update on this? |

After we downloaded videos and uploaded them, they were fine except for a screenshot is not captured. It says screen shot not available. You can see exactly what it looks like at http://www.binkybunny.com/GALLERIES/Videos/tabid/107/Default.aspx |
