I was planning to use the modules for our training section, video production portfolio section, etc. I set up the trainining area and assigned categories. I added all the suggested modules. I started with a new instance of the configuration module and preceeded to add a catagoryList module. The plan was to have this group of modules in the portfolio section, of the site, with unique categories to the training section. Apparently it won't work that way, correct? When I add a new category module, it is propagated with the existing categories from the first group of modules. In this case the training section. |

I apologize for the multiple posts. Here is my dilema: We create training screencasts using Camtasia Studio and we also have a video portfolio of our video production work (business profiles, commercials, web videos, produt reviews, etc.) The screencasts need to be at 500 x 535 px and the videos are at 320 x 240 px. By not having the ability to create a second grouping of modules, that is independant of the first module group and with its own configuration, there is no way to achieve this. |

Well, thanks for your questions, UVG is designed to be a portal-level module, all data are shared among multiple module instances. In your case, you also can create multiple video categories in your portal, and create a tab for each category, when create these tabs, you should manually set redirect url and include categoryId in this url, and place a VideoList module in these tabs, so when browse for these tabs, only videos in specifed category will be displayed. By the way, VideoList module has a bug, it can't read categoryid from querystring, but this will be included in UVG 1.0.3 will be released quickly. Thank you. |

What would happen if I created a child portal. Would I be able to add a second instance and re-configure the sizing? Or, will it still pick up configuration from the first instance? TIA Buck |

UVG is portal-level. so if you create a child portal, it will not share data with previous portal. Thanks. |
