Hello,

I have attempted using UVG Converter 4.0. But whenever I upload a video, it plays back in Standard sized format, not widescreen (as all the videos are now HD 720p in widescreen).

I have set the Gallery/Player size to 720x486. When I play, I have the black bars on the left and right side.

I did check the .mp4 video that was encoded, and found it to be widescreen. So it is my belief it has something to do with a configuration setting I have on or off, or what have you.

If someone has suggestions how to fix this, please let me know.

Thanks.

do you mean that UVG doesn't properly recongnize the aspect ratio of your video? if so, give me a url to download one of your videos in question.

I will reply to the email alert I received on this, as these are client facing videos only.

Thanks

You should have the video now.

I have tested it on many browsers, and even WMP. So far it works great in widescreen outside of UVG

is your problem that UVG dont' recongnize it's aspect ratio?

My guess is that it is not detecting the aspect ratio, yes.

I used the UVG Converter 4 software, and had it upload directly to the server.

Please let me know what you find out. Thanks!

Did you come up with any ideas? i have to give a demo of this product being used in a seminar of about 700 doctors next week. Trying to get this working perfectly ahead of time!

Thanks.

I also have this problem. I am trying to test the system and the screencaps appear in widescreen but the video itself is displaying incorrectly as square.

Can you advise?

Thanks

Steve

in some rare cases UVG is not able to recongnize the original aspect ratio of your video.

you can show me a url to download one of your video in question.

I gave you a reply by email, I'll check to see if I can let UVG recongize this kind of video.

We need to know the original resolution of your video, then I'll try to alter UVG to recongnize it.

It was originally a 720p video, from a Canon Vixia camera

Whatever standard 720p is... 1280x720 I believe.

It is attempting conversion now.

I will also attempt conversion on a file I received from our videographer.

That did not work. The video plays fine in Windows Media Player, just not in the UVG Player.
