I've searched the forums, I've posted the question to Snowcovered, can someone please help out here? I've had UVG 3 for two days now and still have not figured out how to activate it. I have other problems but this is the most pressing at this time. Until the solution is given I can only display 3 videos. Someone please help... What is the process to activate UVG 3 Pro? |

Does anyone know what the average response time is for Biz Modules Support is? I have purchased modules from you guys in the past and was very happy with them. I'm starting to get upset about your lack of response to my not being able to activate UVG 3 Pro. Are you just waiting for me to ask for my money back are what? Thanks, David |

Hi David, I just purchased UVG 3 Pro yesterday and was coming to the forum to post the very same question. I notice the unactivated message in the configuration module though. - Vinny |

Hi Vinny, I want to let everyone know that Biz Modules is working on it. I finally received a response on Snowcovered from them. When I know more I'll post it. -David |

I'm sorry for the delays to give you a reply, our server is not reliable in past few days. after buying our products, you will recieve an email which contains your serial number, then you can use it to activate out products. for UVG, you should see a link to activate it in the 1st step of Add Video wizard. thanks. |

I do thank you for getting the bug with the Active Users module fixed but I think it's more important to activate UVG3... I still can only upload a max.of 3 videos. Can you give me an idea of how long it will take to activate the UVG software? I was really wanting to work on this site this weekend. I'm on a timeline for this site. If the software is not going to work please let me know. Thanks again, -Dave |

I was really thinking I would wake up this morning to find UVG activated on my site so I could get some work done. Didn't happen. I posted messages to this forum as well as Snowcoverd yesterday with no reply from either. I will continue to make my daily post until UVG is activated on my site. Some of us work on weekends. Thanks, -Dave |

Could you tell me when you are going to look into fixing this issue? At the very least I need to let my client know something, and perhaps give them some sort of ETA of the site being ready. -Dave |

I just went back to Snowcovered to see if maybe my version of DNN might be the problem but according to the site it should be working. I have 5.1.4 installed and was wondering if any of you are having better luck with a differnt version of DNN? I just tried to upload a video with the UVG converter and everthing seemed to go fine until I went to my site and tried to play it. It wouldn't play... When I went back to Snowcovered I took the time to read all comments from users who have rated UVG. Basically, all of the ratings are 5 stars. They all rave about how good your tech support is too. Why is this not the case for my issue? I have been posting to your forums, Snowcovered's help desk and I'm getting nowhere. Could you please take the time to tell me if there is a version of DNN that I could install to get UVG to work? Looking forward to hearing from someone, -Dave |

OK, for those who are following or reading this thread I have an update. UVG does not work properly with DNN Version 5.04.01. I took down my site and re-installed it with version 4.09.05 and everything seems to be working fine. I Hope my issues will save others some time. Sincerely, -Dave |

Dave, can you explain it in more detail? I think there DNN 5.4.1 is released, the highest version should be 5.1.x. |

Hi Guys, I'm running DNN 5.4.1 on my dev and production sites. Currently I have UVG running on my local install and as Dave is reporting there doesn't appear to be an activation prompt in the Add New Video wizard. I haven't installed this module on a 4x site so I can't comment on if the activation prompt is present. I was planning on installing UVG on my production site today but I guess I'll wait unitl this issue is resolved. Thanks, Vinny |

You are right Pengtsen. I transposed the numbers. The version that I had installed that did "not" work was 5.1.4. You are correct. Details: The activation link didn't show up. The UVG_ActiveUser Module didn't work. When I uploaded a video with UVG Converter it uploaded just fine but when I went to my site to play the video, it was listed, but it wouldn't play. These are the issues that I ran into. There may be more, I didn't want to stick around and find out though. It's not much fun to play around when you can only list 3 videos. I should have pulled my head out of my butt and installed an earlier version of DNN to start with. :) UVG is a GREAT module! I love it... Thanks, -Dave |

Thanks for the confirmation Dave. Pengston, Can you please let me / us know how we can get UVG activated on a 5.1.4 site? It's not feasible for me to downgrade my production site. |

I just tested UVG 3 on DNN 5.1.4, and it works pretty fine, the activation process works fine like in other DNN versions. and I dont' think a module that works in DNN 5.1.x won't work in DNN 5.1.4 except a major bug is included in this DNN upgrade. Dave, you said "when I went to my site to play the video, it was listed, but it wouldn't play. ", this is not a problem of UVG, I belive your server doesnt' support necessary mime types for UVG, when you play videos your server should support "flv" mime type(or choose flv is not supported in UVG Configuration Wizard), when h264 encoded videos your server should support "mp4" mime type. thanks. Vinny Malanga: You can go ahead. I tested it on my local computer and it do works. thanks. |

| Thanks Pengsten. I don't see the activation step when adding a new video on my localhost instance but I will install UVG on my production site tomorrow and try to activate. Either way I'll post the result on this thread. |

you won't see an activation link on localhost, because you don't need to activate it on localhost. after further investigation, I do found a problem when use UVG 3 on DNN 5.1.4, the UVG_ActiveUsers won't work, howeve,r a fix will be released on snowcovered today. so everyone can go ahead to use UVG 3 on DNN 5.1.4. thanks. |

I will be interested to see how things go for Vinny. I didn't have an activation link from the video upload module using DNN 5.1.4. My question would be: Why was there no activation link in DNN 5.1.4 but when I installed DNN 4.9.5 it was there? Take my word for it. It was not there in 5.1.4. I'm sure there are some other variables that could be the problem. Maybe something got corrupted in the install of DNN 5.1.4 itself? Anyway, this is what I do know... UVG 3 is an awesome module! The best I've ever had. It's an amazing piece of work and I thank you for putting it together. Sincerely, -Dave |
