Here is the URL: http://church-link.net/Resources/VideoGallery.aspx The second video in the list is from YouTube. This is not working from my home office (where I have high speed cable broadband) but did work yesterday from another location that has a DSL connection. |

This afterroon I saw UVG 3.1.2 works, but it seems not it break again. so this problem is still not solved. it seems you need to use embed videos to replace videos added by youtube url. |

Embedding the video is not an acceptable solution because: 1. It causes the rendering of other module layouts on the page where the video gallery list is used. 2. When I tried this the embedded video played only the first time and now does not work anymore. You can see this here: http://church-link.net/Resources/VideoGallery.aspx (the 3rd video is embedded) |

confirmed.. embedding a video does work.. but again most of my users doesn't know how to embed a video, they are mostly used to simply copying the url of the video.. so again using a url doesn't work for any video which is the main feature of the module.. please update or provide a fix please .. thank you. |

that's true. the compact player won't play the embed videos. it seems the youtube feature will no longer be available. UVG used to grab the video url on server side and pass the url to the flash player, but since last youtube update, the video url grabed on server side will only work with the IP of the server, however, the flash client definately have a different IP address, so it won't play. I checked the possibility to get the video url in the flash player itself, but I figured out that this is impossible due to a flash security issue. |

| Is there any way you can modify the compact player so that it will be able to play the embedded videos? They also don't seem to be supported in the Lightbox player. |

IMPORTANT: I have UVG 3.1.12 Trial, unactivated copy installed on my development laptop that can still play the YouTube videos by adding the URL in the same manner it always has. This might provide a clue into a potential fix that still may be possible given the API change. Please let us know if there is any hope given this new information. Thanks! |

My 9d TubeTools has the option to import YouTube videos into UVG with the Embed option en masse. In my settings you can set your Embed height and width. TubeTools lets me view the YouTube videos from the direct YouTube link in a lightbox so I know it can be done. It may take a re-write of the UVG code but I know it can work. Take a look at www.bluedenim.com/tubetools. I am working on enhancing the Embed option in the meantime and will release it as soon as possible. |

Tom, thank you for your post. I think tubetools is a great addition since youtube url videos no longer works in UVG. VinceLL, you said it work on localhost, but does it work on production site? |
