I have setup to use S3 on UVG. I uploaded one video last night. My scheduled task ran just a short while ago. The duration was 0.11 seconds and it says... BizModules.UltraVideoGallery.Scheduling.AWSOperationScheduler, BizModules.UltraVideoGallery tried to move 0 videos to amazon s3 The video is still on my webserver. What can I test or check to see why it did not transfer to the appropriate bucket. This is not my first experience with S3. I use it for videos on another site (but not with UVG). If you ask me to make a change, how do I force the scheduled task to execute? Can I just open the task in DNN and save it or is there something else. Thanks for any ideas. Cliff |

My site is at www.homeschoolcommunity.com/default.aspx . Is this the log file? http://www.homeschoolcommunity.com/uvg.txt I have my scheduled task set for every 3 hours and it ran several times last night with the same result every time. BizModules.UltraVideoGallery.Scheduling.AWSOperationScheduler, BizModules.UltraVideoGallery tried to move 0 videos to amazon s3 Someone mentioned that they could only get S3 to work by letting UVG create the bucket in the configuration. So I deleted the S3 bucket that I created and ran the configuration again letting UVG create the bucket. But still no success. Thanks for any help you can provide. Cliff |

If you go to my site you would see that there is a video on the home page at the bottom. The video is under /portals/0/UltraVideoGallery/Cliff where Cliff is the user who submitted the video. (www.uncommongames.com/default.aspx) << Home page >> Also, I just upgraded to the UVG 3.1.1 and copied this string into the Configurations for ActiveSocial. BizModules.UltraVideoGallery.Profile.ActiveSocial, BizModules.UltraVideoGallery.ActiveSocialProfileProvider But if you click on the video on the home page, the default avatar is still showing on both the top left and on a comment I put in. I restarted the application as Host and it still is not showing the profile avatar. Thanks for any help you can provide. Cliff |

Pengsten: I did download the AS dll and put it in the bin and did a restart. The home page is at www.homeschoolcommunity.com/default.aspx I have an autoresponder at the index.html to keep the site a little hidden. So you have to use the default.aspx to see the dnn site. Here is the AS profile (mine) that uploaded the video. http://www.homeschoolcommunity.com/Home/MyProfile/tabid/74/asuid/3/Default.aspx My scheduled task to move the videos to Amazon S3 are still running but giving this message. BizModules.UltraVideoGallery.Scheduling.AWSOperationScheduler, BizModules.UltraVideoGallery tried to move 0 videos to amazon s3 I will also upload another video just to see what happens. Thanks for any help you can provide on getting S3 and the AS Avatars working. Cliff |

you choosed "from a internet url" opton for the only video you have. UVG doesn't transfer this kind of video because it's located on internet, not on your local disk. about the active social problem, I may need to have your host account to check it. |

I uploaded the video from my PC to my server. It is on my server. I might have checked the wrong type (URL), but I don't see how to change that now. When I go to edit the option to change the type is not there. I will upload a new video and ensure that I check the right box. I sent a host account to rongers@hotmail.com Cliff |

See my last post. Now when I try to login and upload a swf file I get this error. 400 - Value cannot be null right below the upload box. Maybe with your host account you can try to upload and see if things are working correctly. |

Actually the videos did upload. They were just very small Camtasia videos. But none have ever transferred to S3. I emailed you the password for your host account on my site. Cliff |

the "video" you uploaded is a swf file? it seems UVG doesn't transfer it, because UVG think it is a "embeded video". when you upload it UVG generate a piece of html code to embed it. I just uploaded a mp4 video to your website, please check the log tomorrow to see it is successfully transfered. |

I just updated the number to keep in history on the scheduled task and it ran immediately. It says... BizModules.UltraVideoGallery.Scheduling.AWSOperationScheduler, BizModules.UltraVideoGallery tried to move 1 videos to amazon s3 But I still see the file on the server and I don't see it in my bucket on S3. I guess it can take a little while. Also, I used the test member Jim Adams and uploaded a 19MB mov file and it is working properly. I am also seeing the AS Avatar on the video page, but it is not linking to the member profile. I was thinking the AS Avatar on the video page should link back to the member profile. Will you be working to allow SWF to be uploaded to S3? I noticed that the video in your folder has a gif for the image and an FLV file with the same guid. Did you upload the flv or did it get created by the system? I guess by the system, since the mov file I just uploaded was also converted to flv with a gif and mp4 in the same folder. Will all of these files get moved to S3 or just some of them? Thanks for any additional details you can provide. Cliff |

but it is not linking to the member profile. =========== please refer to this thread: http://www.bizmodules.net/Support/tabid/55/forumid/13/tpage/1/view/topic/postid/13944/Default.aspx#13944 Will you be working to allow SWF to be uploaded to S3? =========== I guess no. I noticed that the video in your folder has a gif for the image and an FLV file with the same guid. Did you upload the flv or did it get created by the system? =========== I uploaded a wmv video, UVG convert it to flv, and capture a screenshot. both the video and screenshot will be transfered to amazon. now check the log here: http://www.homeschoolcommunity.com/AWSOperationLog.txt you can see there is a connection error, is it possible that your firefox blocked amazon server? |

Pengsten: I see other posts that show that this is a problem with UVG for some time. See this post from last year. http://www.bizmodules.net/Support/tabid/55/forumid/13/postid/9156/view/topic/Default.aspx If you support S3 then you should be familiar with the fact that S3 allows me to create a bucket with a name like videofiles.homeschoolcommunity.com and then I just use DNS to point that to the correct Amazon file. This works fine for me on other sites. But for some reason UVG is having a problem sending my videos to the bucket with this naming convention. Are you familiar with this? If not I can provide you with a video that explains how the naming and DNS work. Also, on the bucket permissions, who should be able to WRITE to the bucket? Just the OWNER or any AUTHENTICATED USER? I am trying another bucket that does not have a . in the name. But S3 specifies that . is OK in a name. And that is the only way to use a custom URL is to make it a subdomain of my main domain and point it to the aws. Once an hour goes by, I will retry the upload. Otherwise, I get an error saying that I cannot do it twice in an hour. Cliff |

OK, using a bucket without a . does work. But it is standard for S3 to support buckets with a (.). So can you review this and consider adding this functionality? Cliff |
