1) How do I upgrade UVG

2) How can I disable the ability for users to be able to embed video and add video from a url?

Thanks for your help!

1, just simply upload the new version in module definitions.

2, edit the display template of UVG_VideoInformation, remove the embed code and direct play url. you also can hide UVG_VideoInformation at all.

thanks.

Thanks for the answer to number one, I wasnt sure if there was more to it.

But to clear up my 2nd question. I am refering to the options in the upload module. I do not want my users to be able to add video from url or imbed code.

so you only allow them to upload videos from local disk? I'm sorry but it seems there isn't such an option.

ok,

Thank you.

I would like this option because I dont want to have the site filled with videos that have no screen shots or dead videos with broken links.

Could I remove the options from the code? or is it not that easy?

great. if you don't need these options even for admin then you can safely remove it.

I tried to remove it as you suggested, but the entire module crashed after that. Im guessing it is another file that the radio button code is looking for? where can I find that file?

im not a .net guy

Sorry fot the post again...

It seems I am having a problem with when I hide the buttons or disable them... the url radio button is automatically selected...

In other words, I add the attributes to disable or hide the radio buttons. But then I go view the upload module on my site and the url radio button is selected by default and the option to add a url video is there. You can then click the from file radio button and it will switch.

Why is this happening? I want to hide or disable them and want when you go to the upload module the fromdisc option be selected.

Ant suggestions on what might be going on?

I just commented it out

Works great!

This can be used for anytime you dont want a particular portion of code to display.

Thank you for all you support!

UVG record your selection of video source, and when you add a video again the previous option is auto checked.

thanks.
