This post is related to a post I made with UMG...

Hello,

I currently have the a version of UVG and would like to integrate it into the social networking aspect of the site.

Each user will have one video on their profile. They should be able to upload their own video. The video needs to be displayed within the context of the user profile (a custom module we are builiding). The user (not the administrator) should be ble to choose if the video can be seen by others and if it play automatically on load.

At this point we are not planning to have any of the videos available outside the context of the user profile.

If the user does not want to uplaod his own video he can choose to display a video from a selection of videos provided by the site (list set by administrator).

Further, we consider another feature (spearated from the first) in which the user or a group will be able to have here own set of video galleries (depending on your membeship level you can have 0, 1, or many album). The gallery will never be diplayed as whole for the site but always within the context of the user profile or of a group profile.

For the group and user profile we are going to develope our own module...

Is it possible to implement this type of functionality with UVG?

Do you know of anyone that have successfully created similar with UVG? 

Do you have any recomendation?

it seems UVG_UserVideos module can be used in your profile module, please refer to "integrate with other products" chapter in the user guide for further information.

try it first and let me know your futher thoughts.
