Hi,
In my opinion, now in the internet, the most important thing is "how to become easy the navigation in the sites with lots of different types of content". Your UVG and UMG are excelent, but they are only for video/audio and images. Have you already think about create one unique module with the two medias and combine with any kind of content embedded (via frame or links) in your module? Something like "Live Content - Mandeeps.com". I think the YouTube style is the better way to show everything that have a thumbnail. This includes text too. At this moment, I am looking for a module like your UVG where in the player area (page or layer) I can put anything in it. The site will be a resource center, with videos, podcasts, webcasts, articles, white papers, downloads and ... in categories. And with a user access control. Only logged in users can access the content. Do you have any suggestion for me? I don't know very well the DotNetNuke world, but there are many modules and they don't "talk" very well. Thanks,
Rogerio |

Rogerio, thank you for your suggestions. I considered about this "universal" module, but didn't do it because it seems different medias(text/picture/audio/video) have different navigations, for example, for pictures, to load a picture is very fast, so peoples like to see thumbnails of bulk pictures, and click an item to see it, for videos, to load a video is very slow, so peoples like to see a detailed video grid like youtube and UVG. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any other suggestions on this issue. thank you. |
