I tested out the demo version of Ultra Video Gallery all afternoon and it is great!  I noticed that it converts any uploaded video file to Flash.  My company works with WMV files and I need a module that does everything the Ultra Video Gallery does, but I need to to play WMV files.

Is there a way to work around the Flash transcoder and play back with a Windows Media Player?

If not, is there anyone interested in doing some development work and changing the UVG code to meet the WMV needs for my company?

P.S. I don't mean to start a web video format discussion.  I need to work with WMV because my company is bound by client contracts to deliver in WMV format.

if you want to play .wmv file, you even don't need to invest a module, just use Html module to Embed windows media player is ok.

the reason UVG convert videos to FLV format is UVG is the most popular video format for internet usage, which have a good balance of video quality and bandwith cost, and it can be played in flash player which is 99.1% available on internet, but not every body have windows media player installed or available.

currently most people adopt flv as their prefered internet video format, another choice is to use video streaming.

thanks.
