Hi.. I really need to figure out how to use "parameters" to somehow customize the list of videos I get in a modules.. the option to use them is in the set up menus but I found no support docs on that. HELP!

I really want to be able to creat a link that lets a module return a list of videos of a particular author, much like the criteria driven "related videos" module that installs with the Video Player module.

also.. how does one determine the CategoryID without looking in the Database? I don't see the url changing when I select different categories. thanks

CategoryId is passed in querystring when you click a category, you should be able to find it out easily.

Currently only "categoryid" is used in video listing modules, so you can't use them to display videos in specific author, but this will be changed in UVG 2, which will be released in next month. please wait.

Thank you.

sorry.. but I am not that computer literate.. can someone tell me .. is the querystring the entire URL in the address bar..? I assume that I would see the category number in the URL... I do see that changing now when I click on a Category

when you click a category, the url will be something like this:

http://localhost/DNN335-2/UVG2/VideoList/tabid/89/CategoryId/4/Default.aspx

you can see "4" after "categoryId" parameter is category id.

thanks.
