We would like to be able to stream some of our internal meetings and gatherings onto our corporate web and it would be great if UVG could be used as a player. Sure this could be done in other ways, but that would require our users to have specific players installed locally. This would be much much better for us.

Documentation over the nsv format which shoutcast uses can be found here http://ultravox.aol.com/NSVFormat.rtf

well i think nsv is just the container, it uses vp3 for video and mp3 or ogg for audio. What i would like to do is just point the player to an ip and a port and it will play the stream from there. Alternativly if it's easier i guess supporting any of the formats you can stream with vlc would also work.

I gave you a reply by email. it seems flash doesn't support nsv, but UVG is able to encode it to flv/mp4.

I know, but how can flash support a streamed nsv if it doesn't support standalone nsv?
