I am not sure i am able to understand this feature correctly. Though i have read the user guide. When i click the subscribe button it says "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below." I have modified Feed.aspx as mentioned in the user guide <% LoadRss(True)%> One more thing Pengsten, As you now publish Rss feeds for individual users, So isn't it possible that when a user click's on Subscribe button on any video you save that Rss link. And in a module named Your Subscribtion you load Rss based on that users saved rss links. Isn't it possible ? Any workaround for this ? So that users can save their subscription just like youtube. This will increase the popularity of the website by users trying to increase number of their video channel subscribers.

the rss url you posted is good, it works fine. if you subscribe it in any rss client software, it should work. I'm not sure what youtube do when you click a rss, but generally the rss link is a link to an xml file, which can be used in rss client softwares for subscription. I don't think it's necessary to save the rss url in database for every user.

can u plz share some good rss client software for dnn. about you....click on any video on youtube. In the video information potion you'll see a subscribe link. Just click it (after login). Next time when u login you'll see video from that particular user (whom videos you subscribe) at your subscription module. So users can subscribe to any user and they'll get update on their new videos at there home page. Its just a brief intro. I'll share it in bit detail soon.

can u plz share some good rss client software for dnn ======= The rss client is independent to your software platform such as DNN, I don't use any rss client so I can't give you a suggestion. maybe you can google it. I understood a little about youtube rss after reading your introduction, maybe youtube doesn't use rss, it just saves it to database when you subscribe somebody, then you can see this user's videos when you logged in. this is a completely different approach with UVG. for a community website this may be good.

Yes may be youtube store it at the database. I want a simple workaround, thats why i proposed it. Otherwise database approach is very good. So what do you say ?

I think this feature will be very good for collaboration. By this way every user can create their own Video Channel and ppl can get subscribe to it. What do you say abot it ?

actually this is a new feature, it's completely different with the current rss subscription feautre in UVG. youtube provide a button for you to "subscribe" to a user who watching his video. if you subscribe, youtube save it to database and time next show videos from this user when you visit youtube again. I can add this feature to our suggested enhancement list, and it will be reviewed in future upgrades.

Thats great To hear that u hav added in the suggested list. Actually i am only concern with the feature that users can subscribe to any channel and they can follow that later on. I thought Rss subscription option will be easy to implement and there r chances that can be implemented in near future. Thats y i proposed that. Otherwise the Database option is no doubt the true and the right way of doing it. Thanks
