I have a listings site, a user can select a listed item and be directed to a details page for that item.
On that same page is a UVG2 video list configured for search results, a tag url parameter is included in the re-direction to the detail page which allows the correctly tagged videos to be displayed alongside the item detail.

That all works great, the only problem I have is that the search string i.e. the tag url parameter value is being added to the page title.

Now normally if this was a generic video search page that would be ok, but in this case I don't want it to appear is there anyway to switch this off on a module instance or completely if not possible per instance?

it seems this is impossible, this is hard coded. however, maybe you can forget about it, nobody is gonna to care about a parameter in your querystring.

The problem I have is that the url tag parameter value is being inserted into the Page Title, this affects the look of the page title and the SEO of the site.

any ideas?

well, I'm sorry this can't be done, as I said it is hard coded.
