I am quite new to DNN and I have no clue on what modules and skins are but I am just starting to get my head around everything. I was looking at buying UMG 5 and then getting a designer to design the skin.
I am not quite sure which version do I need for the UMG ( Standard, Enterpsise, Entreprise With source etc)?
If I buy the UMG and I get someone to design the skin for me will it be easy to apply the skin onto my website?
My site is going to have news articles, videos, photos and hopefully at a later stage forums and blogs.
I do not have any programming or html or aspnet experience but I have IT Support qualifications on XP, Vista and Server 2003.
Does the module make it easier then to add the contents onto my site as this is going to be done on a daily basis? |

you should first draw your design about your site skin, if you can make it as an html file it would be better.
then look for someone to convert it to a DNN skin, maybe you can contact authors of the skins in snowcovered top sellers list to get a quotation.
after the skin is done, you can install it to your site and choose to use it. it's quite simple.
UMG standard edition and enterprise edition have same features, just the license difference.
after settings up UMG on your website, you don't need to do any configuration work again, you just need to go ahead to add contents on a daily basis.
